Description:We’ll be performing at a rally in Richmond against the Chevron refinery there. Chevron is importing Oil stolen from Iraq at gunpoint and refining it at the refinery in Richmond. Pollution from that refinery is a leading cause of cancer asthma, and illness in the community and directly jeopardizes the health and well being of residents. The rally is being organized by Direct Action to Stop the War, in conjunction with local groups that have been working to shut down the refinery for years. You can get more information on this and other anti-war actions and events around the bay area at http://bayareadirectaction.wordpress.com/ The rally starts at 11am and is 100% legal, permitted, and safe for children and elderly people. There will also be a direct-action type event, starting at 1pm, at the actual refinery which carries a higher level of risk of arrest.
