Who says the streets just belong to cars?
who says you can only get tipsy in bars?
This world is ours, for real, we built it
So let me take your frame of reference, and tilt it
if you wanna get funky go on get your freak on,
but I got a couple things that I need to speak on
all my dogs get your leash on, cats go wild
go on ‘n free your love like a flower child
getting wild, all the streets are closed
like Mardi gras, who needs clothes?
And the pigs on the scene can’t do a thing
Cuz we got ‘em outnumbered by more then fifteen
To one, leave your guns at home we don’t need ‘em
People starving for freedom, it’s time to feed ‘em
this bliss exists in the roll of your hips,
The beat of the drum and the song on your lips
So come on out & join us if ya like to party
ain’t tryna cause trouble or bother nobody
But we gon’ reclaim the streets just like this
& if you down for a change you can raise your fist
We got the thump in the trunk, the beat is straight bumpin
And I don’t really care if you’re thin or chunkin
Strike a pose like a supermodel
better yet go crazy like you won the lotto
Life is beautiful, soak it in,
Just slide and glide with the sun on your skin
let’s all take the day off, forget your boss
call it a general strike & the profits lost
are just a down payment on what’s to come

my rule of thumb is “if harms none, do it!”

we getting huge – like a mastadon
I said resist, refuse, stop flippin snitches
and if I found me a genie then one of my wishes

Rock the block and drop a couple more rhymes
And if joy is a crime they should lock me up
Cuz I’m breakin the law and I don’t give a —-
But just let ‘em try it, they’ll start a riot,

I don’t expect a street party to change the world
But it’s a good time out dancing with my girl
besides, the world rides on our compliance
and it just feels good to show some defiance
it’s the little things that make life worthwhile
a glimpse of freedom, a pretty girls smile
feelin like a crocodile, lazy as ——
but when opportunity knocks I’ll snap it up
